Bach Flower Remedies for Pets

Just as they support us, Bach Flower Remedies help to rebalance the emotional state of our pets.

Bach Flower Remedies for pets and animals

How do Bach Flower Remedies for animals work?

Dr Bach’s spaniel, Lulu, received her master’s remedies from time to time as did many of the Bach Centre cats.

In modern settings, the remedies are particularly helpful for rescue animals going to a new home. Some may have endured mistreatment, neglect or sadly, worse.

Wonderful for generally nervous, anxious animals or in multi-pet households when pets are not the best of friends, the remedies may also help with unwanted behaviours such as spraying or for settling the anxiety of a cat who is overgrooming.

Restless behaviour, depression, allergies, digestive issues can often be underpinned by stress and there are numerous remedies and combinations that will help depending on the circumstances of your pet.

Animals often absorb our worries and the remedies can help support them as we work through our own challenges.

After surgery, they encourage the healing process and when pets are bereaved, losing an animal companion or their owner, the remedies provide comfort.

Safe, gentle and bespoke

Rescue Remedy is the best-known of the remedies and is frequently used during car journeys, moving house, fireworks and grooming appointments.

With 38 remedies in the Bach system, there are multiple combinations to be found for a variety of emotional and behavioural issues ensuring that your pet receives an entirely bespoke prescription.

While standard remedies are safe for pets and animals generally, I also use glycerin-based remedies for those who prefer remedies without alcohol.

I am the only Bach Foundation Registered Animal Practitioner, BFRAP in London. You can find me in the Bach Centre Animal Practitioners directory.
