Wellbeing for Pets

Complementary therapies can help improve physical and emotional health with often, immediate results. But there are many ways we can give our pets a healthy, head start in life.

How I can help your pets

Holistic therapy is usually the last resort for worried pet owners.

Clinical diagnosis can only be provided by your vet. But sometimes orthodox veterinary care is only part of the solution and problems can persist. To find the answers, we must become detectives for our pets and investigate all the clues.

This is where I can help. I have a solid understanding of companion animal health including common conditions, nutrition, natural remedies, behaviour and emotional health. And cats, of course!

I also love to solve a mystery…

Diet and nutrition

Good food is medicine so feed your pets well.

I offer advice on natural, raw food and home-cooking. I’ll help you better understand food labels, demystifying the hype around commercial and prescription pet food, empowering you to make healthier choices.

Where there is acute or chronic disease, it’s even more important to offer nutritious, species-appropriate food and I'm especially passionate about our carnivorous feline friends.

Pet behaviour and wellbeing services

Support for all stages of life

From the cutest kittens and pups to our golden oldies, I encourage a variety of enrichment strategies to engage meaningfully with your pet from interactive play sessions to the somewhat underrated benefits of healing herbs in our kitchens and gardens. I can also offer suggestions to improve your pet’s environment and help to eliminate unwanted behaviours.

As a qualified pet bereavement advisor, when it is time to say goodbye to your beloved pet, I can ease their transition and your sorrow by supporting the family, including remaining pets, through the grief process.

Diet and nutrition are key

Major pet food companies sell the pet wellness dream with big-budget advertising, impossibly cute animals and catchy jingles. But, if pet guardians knew what was really in most commercial pet foods, our animals would be much healthier. Please read the previous sentence again.

And where there is acute or chronic disease, it’s even more important that our pets are fed nutritious, species-specific food. As you can probably tell, I'm particularly passionate about our carnivorous feline friends!
