Holistic Therapies and Wellbeing for Pets

Just like us, our pets are sentient, spiritual beings. They too can experience an imbalance of health whether it be physical, mental or emotional.

If concerned about your pet’s health and behaviour, a vet should always be the first point of contact to explore any underlying conditions or receive a diagnosis.

Alongside veterinary and specialist care, my animal healing service provides complementary therapies that help to facilitate the recovery of pets displaying a variety of new or persistent health issues and emotional problems.

Complementary Therapies for Animals and the Law

UK law states that all complementary animal therapies must be undertaken by a veterinary surgeon. However, those suitably trained in animal complementary techniques can treat animals with a referral from the vet in charge of your pet’s care.

You should first consult with your vet for a professional diagnosis and a discussion about the additional health benefits of complementary therapies.

I require a referral and if your vet is open to complementary options, they will be happy to provide it. This outcome may vary depending on whether your vet is in conventional or holistic practice.

Note: Reiki and Bach Remedies are complementary therapies. They are not intended to replace orthodox veterinary care but will sit beautifully alongside it to enhance your pet’s wellbeing.
