Bach Flower Remedies

What are Bach Flower Remedies?

Doctor Bach was trained in orthodox medicine but his approach to health and wellness was entirely holistic, treating the individual rather than a disease and its symptoms. He also believed there was a direct link between health and our emotions.

During the 1930s, he discovered a simple and complete system of 38 flower remedy tinctures designed to help overcome poor health by restoring inner peace and harmony.

The remedies restore positive personality traits and emotions by transforming negative moods and emotional imbalance. When our worries and negative feelings ease, we feel more optimistic, have greater clarity and move forward with purpose. These improvements promote the potential for self-healing allowing us to experience and enjoy true inner peace. .

Rescue Remedy, for emergency situations, is the most widely used of the Bach system. The individual remedies provide personalised treatment combinations for any emotional imbalance.

Bach Flower Remedies

Who are the remedies for?

Bach remedies are used by millions of people worldwide. They are safe, natural and suitable for young, old, animals and even plants!

They do not interfere with other medications and have no side effects.

How to take Bach Flower Remedies

Dr Bach grouped the remedies into seven categories representing what he believed were the areas of greatest emotional conflict.

Fear, worry, anger, jealousy and grief are emotions familiar to most of us. For these and other negative emotions, there is a corresponding Bach remedy which encourages and promotes the opposite and positive emotional state.

The remedies are quick and easy to take in a glass of water, a cup of tea or dropped directly from the remedy bottle under the tongue.

The Bach system is simple, designed for self-care and to empower the patient. But if you’re new to the remedies, you may need a little help…

Expert guidance

Confidential guidance from an experienced practitioner will help you get started

Sometimes, talking about your worries to someone removed from the situation can provide clarity and perspective which helps to select the most appropriate remedies.

I work with standard Bach and also glycerin-based tinctures for those who prefer not to take remedies containing alcohol.

Your consultation and remedy mixture is a completely collaborative exercise. After all, you know yourself and your situation better than anyone else does. I’ll explain how each remedy works and what is most likely to help you. I'm simply your guide.

You will find me listed in the the official Bach Centre Directory of Practitioners.

From September 2023, I will be available for consultations at the Light Centre in Clapham.

*Bach consultations are also available by Zoom/phone appointment. Following our call, your remedies will be posted (within the UK only) and an additional charge to cover postage will be added to your consultation fee.
