Angela Kearney

 Hello, I’m Angela

Reiki Master Practitioner, Bach Foundation Registered Practitioner, BFRAP and Registered Animal Healer, MHAO.

As a healer, practitioner of Reiki and Bach Remedies for humans and animals, people often ask me how that came about...

When I was struggling to make some major adjustments, these gentle therapies helped to restore balance in my life. The improvement to my emotional, mental and physical health was so remarkable that I knew I wanted to help others in the same way by studying to become a practitioner.

I took a little detour after deciding to train in the same therapies for animals plus enrol in a Diploma course in Animal Healing. The inspiration was my darling cat, Rex.

Rex the cat

Rex’s Story

At just 18 months old, Rex was diagnosed with idiopathic epilepsy.

The well-documented side effects of his medications worried me. There was no doubt he needed them but I wanted to help manage his seizures and support his recovery in a safe, natural way.

By introducing complementary therapies and remedies, I hoped to gradually reduce the dosage of his prescription drugs. I sensed that the calming, meditative effects of Reiki and the balancing effects of Bach remedies could help Rex as they had helped me. And of course, they did!

Good nutrition and the healing properties of natural remedies including medicinal herbs were subject areas of the Diploma course which also helped his overall health. In combination, they have been life-changing for Rex.

... a happy, cuddly bundle of mischief!

As a result of these changes, his seizures are milder and occur less frequently.

By agreement with Rex’s vet and neurologist, we reduced the quantity and dosage of his medications. There is no sign of deterioration in his regular blood results. Rex is now 11 years old, a happy, cuddly bundle of mischief!

Because of Rex, my life path has completely changed in the best possible way and I’m so grateful for his trust. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of helping many other animals in numerous settings from rescue and rehoming centres to beautiful family pets.

I love seeing the transformative results that holistic, healing therapies bring to all my clients, whatever the species!

I was born in Sydney, Australia .

I live in Clapham, London with my beloved cats, Rex and Juno.

I collect books, vases, funky feline stuff, mid-century treasures (love Scandi brutalist jewellery). And more books...

I’ve just completed a course in Herbal Medicine. Plants are amazing healers.

I’m listening to Spanish classical guitar, 70’s glam rock (don’t judge me, it’s my era) - and Elvis.

I've lived in Moscow and Havana but there's nowhere like Italy.

Fun Facts

I love sweet things. Sticky Toffee pudding, anyone?

My best ever gift was a jar of chocolate body paint. See previous point.

I love Cuban coffee, herbal teas, vodka, Vin Santo and Gewurztraminer... not always consumed in that order.

I miss those loved and lost, family and friends abroad. And Poldark, swoon...

My happy place is in the woods with my camera. Trees, plants and wildlife, a magical combination.

My motto. Be kind to all living things.
